DJ Gamecock (Bob Chapman) is a 1981 USC Journalism and Mass Communications (Broadcasting + Media Arts) graduate of The University of South Carolina. He's already preparing for Fall 2012 and 35th Anniversary Homecoming Special of his famous Friday afternoon drive-time radio show called The Weekend Kicker, heard on WUSC-FM in Columbia from 1977 to 1981. After jocking at local radio stations (WUSC-AM, WUSC-FM, WLTR-FM and WZLD-FM) in Columbia, he became a DJ at 3 radio stations (95-SX, WTWF-FM and WKQB-FM in the Charleston, SC area. He also did typical off-air DJ gigs - night clubs, weddings, Sweet 16 parties and high school reunions. Later, when internet-only radio stations were being created, he came out of self-imposed radio retirement to help a web radio station achieve its goal to reach Top 500 in Shoutcast rankings. This inspired the creation of several new custom remixes that turned out amazingly well. The track "Electro-Rooster" by DJ Gamecock passed a major test when it was played at 1,500 watts to packed house on South Carolina's Largest Dance Floor. It was a major ego boost when the club's host DJ (Special Ed of 95-SX) announced to the crowd "Hey y'all, DJ Gamecock is in the house with us tonight!". The crowd's response to this tune, extra large due to Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "Fifth of May") celebration, was both instantaneous and very exciting to watch. Hot ladies were RUNNING to Dance to it! The rooster crows sounded super, even at high volume. Next? Coliseum or Williams Brice Stadium? (80,250) DJ Gamecock is also working on a sydication deal for his global radio show called The Weekend Kicker. For more info on that, visit www.WeekendKicker.com!
